Tribunal finds Orubebe guilty
The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) sitting in Abuja has professed previous Minister of Niger Delta, Godswill Orubebe, liable of non-statement of benefit.
Administrator of the tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar, on Tuesday reported a relinquishment of the property, situated in a decision region of Abuja, Asokoro.
The Judge clarified that the declarations and archive displayed by the arraignment demonstrate that the previous priest is blameworthy as charged.
Equity Umar expressed that while the clergyman asserted that the property was on rent from the central government, the dismissal of the case by his previous landowner to permit him to practice his directly over the property rendered the force of lawyer futile.
The previous Minister had argued 'not blameworthy' for two check charges of bogus assertion of benefits and another two tallies of pay off when summoned before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Mr. Orubebe was charged by the Code of Conduct Bureau for claimed inability to proclaim landed property in Kyamu and Asokoro region, both in Abuja, on presumption of office as pastor on September 26, 2007.
Likewise, the previous Minister was blamed for professedly tolerating influences totalling N70 million for the honor of agreements for his organization.
