Saraki’s, Ekweremadu’s trial was a witch-hunt, says Waku

Senator Joseph Kennedy Waku has expressed that the suit against Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his representative, Ike Ekweremadu was a witch-chase wanted to discolor their picture.


Talking with writers on his 70th birthday in Makurdi, the Benue State capital yesterday, Waku depicted the withdrawal of the claim against the two officials by the Federal Government as a proper choice.

As indicated by him: "There is no legitimization at all to drag the Senate president and his representative to court for criminal case, as they were not the creator of the said report."

He recognized the Federal Government for dropping the body of evidence against the Senate authority.

Waku censured the proposed offer of the country's advantages, saying, "if this is done, we will wake up one day and discover that we have sold the presidential manor or the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)."
