Jibrin withdraws suit against House of Representatives

The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Friday struck out the suit of Abdulmumin Jibrin, a previous Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, testing his suspension from the House.

The judge, Justice John Tsoho, struck out the matter after Jibrin's Counsel, Mr. Chukuma Nwachukwu, told the court that his customer had documented a notice of discontinuance.

Tsoho decay the demand of the litigants for a N200,000 cost, holding that the respondents were "solid foundation and identity".

At the listening to, Jibrin's advice, Nwachukwu, told the court that there was a notice of discontinuance documented on Oct. 11, encouraging the court to end the matter.

The Counsel to the respondents, Mr. Kalu Onuoha, did not contradict the application, but rather requested a cost of N200,000 for the procedures recorded by them.

He said the litigants recorded numerous procedures for this situation under the watchful eye of the court traveled in July 2016.

Nwachukwu, notwithstanding, restricted the application with the way that the litigants did not documented any resistance in this matter.

It will be reviewed that Jibrin, an official from Kano State, was suspended by the House of Representatives for 180 administrative days.

The beset official's suit looking for stop the House was all the while pending in court.
