Police arrest suspect for impersonating Bishop Kukah

The FCT Police Command said it had captured a suspect, Jehu Kwasu, 25, for purportedly mimicking the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, His Lordship Matthew Kukah, to cheat individuals from people in general.


Introducing the charged to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Mr Muhammad Mustafa, said the suspect was captured on Aug. 15 in Kaduna by faculty of the charge.

He said that Kukah had grumbled to the order on the exercises of the suspect.

"We got a grumbling from Kukah through our unit that is examining the matter which captured the suspect,"he said.

He said that the Bishop had been educated of the capture of the suspect who was a frequent criminal, including that he was presently remand.
