Responding to claim by the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the friendly administration of Adams Oshiomhole has dove the state into immense obligation, Oshiomhole yesterday asserted that the PDP government under previous Governor of Edo State, Lucky Igbinedion occupied N4 billion bank advance in conspiracy with then Secretary to the State Government and PDP gubernatorial competitor, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

An announcement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Peter Okhiria, Oshiomhole said: "Our consideration has been attracted to the falsehoods sold by one Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a factional hopeful of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the obligation profile Edo State.

"We make strong to state, and the truths are clear, that regardless of acquiring the most elevated incomes from the Federation Account, the PDP states in the South-South locale are the most obliged in the district and not Edo State.

"The residential obligation profile discharged by the DMO as at December 31, 2015, the last time it was issued, recorded Delta State as having an obligation profile of N320,605 billion; Akwa Ibom had N147,575 billion; Cross River: N115,522 billion; Rivers, N134,9566 billion; Bayelsa N103,374 billion as against Edo which had a far lower profile. While the other South-South PDP states have kept on storing up local obligations with high-loan fees, Edo is near totally selling its household obligation.

"While Ize-Iyamu keeps on selling his lie, we have the record of the N4 billion obtained by the PDP legislature of Lucky Igbinedion, with the learning of Osagie Ize-Iyamu as Secretary to State Government from Guaranty Trust Bank and Equitorial Trust Bank and paid to a location in Lagos.

"Edo individuals are not deluded. They realize that the PDP and Ize-Iyamu are the ones who have a record of getting to take and not the APC government drove by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole."Our records are open and we run a straightforward government. No measure of planted or composed stories by hack journalists will bend the certainties."
