Mimiko Begs Ali Modu Sheriff To Accept Eyitayo Jegede’s Candidature, Says Faction

The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo state on Tuesday said  the beset Governor Olusegun Mimiko has started to "ask" its factional National Chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff, to acknowledge the candidature of Eyitayo Jegede as banner carrier of the decision party for the November 26th governorship race in the state.

Biyi Poroye, the State factional Chairman of the gathering unveiled this at a press preparation observed by SaharaReporters in Akure on Monday.

Mr. Poroye who described how Mimiko took Mr. Jegede to Abuja and met with Sheriff further clarified that the representative has been requesting the help of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to acknowledge the senior legal counselor as the competitor of the gathering.
