Buhari summons meeting of Council of State
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday summoned the meeting of the Council of State with previous President Goodluck Jonathan, between time President Ernest Shonekan and previous military Head of State Abduulsalami Abubakar in participation.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that others at the meeting included state governors, the Chief Justice of the Federation, Mohammed Muhmud and previous Chief Justices including Lawal Uwais, Dahiru Musdafa, Alfa Belgore and Alooma Muktar.
NAN dependably assembled that the meeting may talk about the affirmation of the acting Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and arrangement of new National Commissioners for the National Population Commission.
Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, who are individuals from the Council, were not at the meeting when it began at around 11.08 a.m.
The initially meeting of the chamber, under the current political administration, was hung on October 21, 2015
