Legislators to Frustrate Confirmation of Ibrahim Magu as EFCC Chairman –
Nigerian congresspersons are plotting to postpone the affirmation of Ibrahim Magu as EFCC administrator, four individuals from the counter unit organization and the 47 ambassadorial chosen people for around 8 weeks, DailyTrust reports.

The screening of Magu and four different individuals from the counter defilement organization has been deferred for three weeks. The letter for his affirmation was gotten on June 22 and was perused last Thursday by Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

The deferral is a piece of a plot to baffle Magu's affirmation so he could approach the legislators for campaigning, a representative said.

"Our associates who have cases at the EFCC consider this to be a chance to hit back at Magu. Along these lines, we are anxious about the possibility that that on the off chance that he shows up for affirmation this week, he may not scale through," the congressperson said. "I trust that if his affirmation is postponed, it would be a surprisingly beneficial development since it would empower him to connect and campaign for his affirmation.

Director of the Senate Committee on Rules and Business, Senator Babajide Christopher Omoworare (APC, Osun East) said the affirmation of Magu and four different individuals from the EFCC would be recorded on Tuesday.
