A PUNCH photojournalist, Sodiq Adelakun, was brutalized by crooks in Lagos today after policemen and Department of State Services operators fail to go to his aide. Adelakun was covering a test by the Joe Ajaero-drove gathering of the Nigeria Labor Congress in the midst of the Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Employers Consultative Association's Annual General Meeting at Alausa-Ikeja when he was ambushed. "I continued running vigorously, notwithstanding I was surpassed, beaten, punched, injured… . my eyes were clear while they precluded me from claiming my camera, mobile phones, and wallet," he said.
"They incapacitated to gun me down if I don't team up inside seeing the DSS and policemen. Disastrously, for 10 minutes it was just me, my reasonable eyes and my creator."
