Police arrest 3 persons for allegedly printing fake ballot papers
River Police Command said on Sunday that it had captured three people for purportedly printing fake poll papers for the re-run authoritative race in the state.The Independent National Electoral Commission has settled Dec. 10 to direct the decision in the state.
Mr Nnamdi Omoni, a DSP and Public Relations Officer of the charge, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the suspects were captured on Saturday at D/Line range of Port Harcourt.
He said staff of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) made the capture.
" I can affirm the capture of three suspects. The matter is with us and the Commissioner of Police has requested cautious examination.
" I can guarantee you that it is being given sufficient consideration and toward the end of examination, we will turn out with our position," he said.
Omoni said that the state CID was presently taking care of the matter while the summon would make its discoveries known toward the end of the examination.
He asked the general population to give police valuable data that would help it battle wrongdoing in the state.
