Ajimobi, Fijabi advocate full exploitation of telecoms’ potential
Representative Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, on Saturday required the full abuse of the capability of the telecoms business to drive the country's economy and make openings for work.Ajimobi decided at the first Annual Retreat of the House of Representatives' Committee on Telecommunications held at Carlton Gate Exclusive Hotel in Ibadan.

Ajimobi, who was spoken to by Mr. Niyi Ajao, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Communication Technology (ICT), said the state was taking a gander at ICT as a key driver of the state's economy.
He said the state would soon set up an ICT center point, where it proposed to make 20,000 learning driven occupations.
"We have more than 400,000 understudies in Oyo State. We have 2,138 grade schools and 630 optional schools, out of which just 30 schools advantage from ICT.
"We have possessed the capacity to change the state's economy through ICT, having grasped it in completing and checking the state's day by day exercises,'' the representative said.

"The FDI in the segment has expanded from 32 billion dollars in 2015 to 38 billion dollars in 2016,'' he said.
