Senate defers Magu’s confirmation to next week
The Senate yesterday conceded the screening of the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu to Thursday one week from now.Preparation columnists in Abuja, the Deputy Senate Leader, Bala Ibn Na'Allah (APC, Kebbi South), said the purpose behind the move was to permit legislators who were away to take an interest in the screening.

The Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu had declared at the entire session on Wednesday that the affirmation hearing would hold one week from now.
Additionally, the Senate yesterday asked the Federal Government to upgrade the human services framework at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camps.
The call took after the demise of three corps individuals, Miss Ifedolapo Oladepo, Miss Elechi Chiyerom and Mr. Ukeme Asuquo in their introduction camps in Kano, Zamfara and Bayelsa states.
